Arcangelo Corelli’s famed variations on La Follia (‘madness’) rub shoulders with plangent violin sonatas by George Frideric Handel and Francesco Maria Veracini. Interspersed with solo keyboard sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti, the programme ends with Giuseppe Tartini’s sonata known as The Devil’s Trill.
